Indian Head Massage |
What it is
It is a gentle, rhythmic massage for the head, shoulders, neck and back. It is a traditional massage used in families, in barbershops and on streets in India.
Additional holistic healing techniques are taught on this course to enhance your skills and healing abilities.
What it does
Indian head massage helps to relax and calm the mind and body. It helps the body to heal and release toxins whilst stimulating the immune system. It also helps hair growth and condition, circulation and reduces stress.
The trainer
I worked in housing and social work for over 15 years and am a Reiki and Seikhem master. I teach on a regular basis in Edinburgh and Glasgow. I have run groups and training workshops on various subjects for about 20 years. Savita Burke trained me in Indian Head Massage and William Lee Rand in Reiki.

| The course |

Is for beginners and also experienced therapists who want to add to their skills. It aims to give you the confidence and ability to practice Indian head massage.
The course focuses on the practical application of Indian head massage with a theoretical base.
The course involves a 2-day training workshop, (10/11am �5.00 pm), 10 treatments completed within 6 months, & short written & practical assessments. The practical is completed on the weekend. The short answer written assessment is done at home. Ongoing support is available online or by phone. There is a follow up evening after the course.
A course manual is provided and there is a recommended text book (currently under �15). The diploma is given on successful completion of the 10 treatments, written up as case notes & the practical & written assessments.
It is your responsibility to complete the casework and written test in your own time & within 6 months. |
